I recently read this great article about what was going on inside Nokia before the decision to abandon MeeGo as the future OS and instead partnering with Microsoft and their Windows Phone OS.
The article is a translation of an article by Finnish publication Taskumuro which have interviewed a bunch of people with inside knowledge on what happened.
The story is a bit heavy on the technical side but I would recommend it to anyone as it tells a tale of lost opportunities, maddening bureaucracy, wasted and limited resources as well as no strategic vision and decision maker.
The story is a bit sad but really drives home the point that the choice to go with Windows Phone was not much of a choice, but a necessity, and debunks some of the worst conspiracy theories out there still today.
